The prince accepted the condition. They get married and lived happily in the woods until Dayang Sumbi gave birth to a baby boy. The prince then changed into a dog named Tumang. Their son is named Sangkuriang. He was very smart and handsome like his father. Everyday, he hunted animals and looked for fruits to eat. One day, when he was hunting, Sangkuriang accidentally killed Tumang. His arrow missed the deer he was targeting and hit Tumang instead. He went home and tells her mother about the dog. “What?” Dayang Sumbi was appalled. Driven by sadness and anger, she grabbed a weaving tool and hit Sangkuriang’s head with it. Dayang Sumbi was so sad; she didn’t pay any attention to Sangkuriang and started to cry. Sangkuriang feel sad and also confused. How can his mother love a dog more than him? Sangkuriang then decided to go away from their home and went on a journey. In the morning, Dayang Sumbi finally stopped crying. She started to feel better, so she went to find Sangkuriang. But her son was no where to be found. She looked everywhere but still couldn’t find him. Finally, she went home with nothing. She was exhausted. She fell asleep, and in her dream, she meets her husband. “Dayang Sumbi, don’t be sad. Go look for my body in the woods and get the heart. Soak it with water, and use the water to bathe, and you will look young forever,” said the prince in her dream. After bathing with the water used to soak the dog’s heart, Dayang Sumbi looked more beautiful and even younger. And time passed by. Sangkuriang on his journey stopped at a village and met and fell in love with a beautiful girl.He didn't realize that the village was his homeland and the beautiful girl was his own mother, Dayang Sumbi. Their love grew naturally and he asked the girl to marry him. One day, Sangkuriang was going on a hunt. He asked Dayang Sumbi to fix the turban on his head. Dayang Sumbi was startled when she saw a scar on his head at the same place where she, years ago, hit Sangkuriang on the head. After the young man left, Dayang Sumbi prayed for guidance. After praying, she became convinced that the young man was indeed her missing son. She realized that she had to do something to prevent Sangkuriang from marrying her. But she did not wish to disappoint him by cancelling the wedding. So, although she agreed to marry Sangkuriang, she would do so only on the condition that he provides her with a lake and built a beautiful boat, all in one night. Sangkuriang accepted this condition without a doubt. He had spent his youth studying magical arts. After the sun went down, Sangkuriang went to the hill. Then he called a group of genie to build a dam around Citarum River. Then, he commands the genies to cut down trees and build a boat. A few moments before dawn, Sangkuriang and his genie servants almost finished the boat. Sangkuriang’s genie servants immediately dropped their work and ran for cover from the sun, which they feared. Sangkuriang grew furious. With all his anger, he kicked the unfinished boat. The boat flew and landed on a valley. The boat then became a mountain, called Mount Tangkuban Perahu (Tangkuban means upturned or upside down, and Perahu means boat). With his power, he destroyed the dam. Then he called a group of genie to build a dam around Citarum River. Then, he commands the genies to cut down trees and build a boat. A few moments before dawn, Sangkuriang and his genie servants almost finished the boat. Sangkuriang’s genie servants immediately dropped their work and ran for cover from the sun, which they feared. Sangkuriang grew furious. With all his anger, he kicked the unfinished boat. The boat flew and landed on a valley. The boat then became a mountain, called Mount Tangkuban Perahu (Tangkuban means upturned or upside down, and Perahu means boat). With his power, he destroyed the dam. He went home and tells her mother about the dog. “What?” Dayang Sumbi was appalled. Driven by sadness and anger, she grabbed a weaving tool and hit Sangkuriang’s head with it. The woman, Dayang Sumbi, recognized the wanderer as Sangkuriang. Unintentionally, Sangkuriang forced Dayang Sumbi to marry him. Dayang Sumbi agreed to marry him but Sangkuriang had to build a vast boat, just in one night. At night, Sangkuriang called his friends, ghosts and fairies to help him. Feared with the boat to complete, Dayang Sumbi asked other women in her village to help her. Then the women punched the grains with grain puncher to make noise which disturbed the ghosts and fairies. The morning came before Sangkuriang completed the boat. Unfortunately the fairies and the ghosts also left Sangkuriang alone. Finaly Sangkuriang got very angry and kicked away the boat to the downside, which finally turned into a mountain, called Tangkuban Parahu.

West Java
For a long time Si Kabayan and his father-in-law had entertained the idea of making a deer trap, but nothing had ever come of their intention. One day Kabayan called his father-in-law.
“Come, Pa,” he said. “Let’s dig a ditch. A deer is sure to fall into it, and then we’ll slaughter it together.”
“No,” replied Kabayan’s father-in-law. “You dig the ditch, Kabayan. I’d rather snare a bird.”
“Good,” said Kabayan. ” But when I catch my deer, I won’t give you any part of it.”
“Never mind,” replied the father-in-law. “When I snare my bird, you get no part of it either.”
The next very morning, very, very early. Kabayan’s father-in-law went outside to have a look at the trap he had set up. It was just as he had left it the night before. He walked over to Kabayan’s trap and there he saw a fine, large deer. He looked about him stealthily and seeing no one, he tied a rope around the deer’s neck, which he then fastened to his own trap. He quickly returned to the house and called his son-in-law.
“Kabayan, Kabayan, wake up!” he shouted. “Let’s go out and see whether there’s anything in our traps.”.
Kabayan yawned and streched and joinde his father-in-law.
“Alhamdullillah ! The Lord be praised!” exclaimed Kabayan’s father-in-law. “Look at that!” He pointed to the deer in his trap.
Si Kabayan walked away without saying a word.
A little later, when Si Kabayan’s wife called her father and husband for breakfast. Kabayan did not appear. Kabayan’s wife was worried. “Where is he?” she asked her father. They waited , but he did not come. Kabayan’s wife began to cry.
“He’s been eaten by a tiger,” she sobbed, “or choked bye a devil in the forest – or kidnapped!”
Her father tried to console her and said he would go out immediately to search for Kabayan.
It was not long before he found him, sitting by the bank of a river in an attitude of meditation, watching the water flow by.
“Kabayan !” called his father-in-law. “What are you doing ? Why didn’t you come to breakfast?”
“Look, Pa!” said Kabayan, glancing up at his father-in-law, but leaving his question unanswered.
“Look at this water. If this isn’t strangest thing! …….”
“What is the matter ?”
“Just look! The river is flowing upstream !”

Why Si Kabayan Never Became Rich
Si Kabayan and his wife went to Mountain Gede to spind sometime as astetics, praying and fasting and mediting, so that their wish to became rich night be granted them. One day, in the midst of their meditations, a god appeaared to them.
"Kabayan", said the god. "I granted you to wishes,. But only two you had better talk in over with you wife before you make them."
Kabayan and his wife had a lengthy discussion about what they should wish for. It had simply impossible for them to agree. Kabayan wanted to wish for a great amount of money , but his wife thought they shouldwish for abundant supply of rice. Finnally Kabayan became so annoyed with has wife that he said, "I wash the god's would turn into a monkey".
Immediately Kabayan's wish was granted, and he saw his wife transformed into a monkey before his every eyes. This is he could not bear, and so washed that his wife would become herself again. This wash was promply granted.
But these two wishes Kabayan's chance to ask for wealth was gone and he and has wife remained poor as long as they lived.

Well, we'll soon find that out, thought the old queen. But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a pea on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses.
On this the princess had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept.
"Oh, very badly!" said she. "I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!"
Now they knew that she was a real princess because she had felt the pea right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds.
Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that.
So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

On this the princess had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept.
"Oh, very badly!" said she. "I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!"
Now they knew that she was a real princess because she had felt the pea right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds.
Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that.
So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

The Ant and The Grasshopper
In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart's content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.
"Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"
"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."
"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; "We have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil.
When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger - while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew: It is best to prepare for days of need.

BAWANG Putih lived with her step mother and her step sister,Bawang Merah.Bawang Putih's mother died when she was a baby.Her father remarried another woman and later her step sister was born. Unfortunately,not long after that her father died.Since then,Bawang Putih's life was sad.Her step mother and her step sister treated Bawang Putih badly and always asked her to do all the household chores.
One morning,Bawang Putih was washing some clothes in a river. Accidentally,her mother's clothes were washed away by the river.She was really worried so she walked along the river side to find the clothes.Finally she met an old woman.She said that she kept the clothes and would give them back to Bawang Putih if she helped the old woman do the household chores. Bawang Putih helped her happily. After everything was finished, the old woman returned the clothes. She also gave Bawang Putih a gift. The old woman had two pumpkins, one pumpkin was small and the other one was big.Bawang Putih had to choose one.
Bawang Putih was not a greedy girl.So she took the small one. After thanking the old woman, Bawang Putih then went home.When she arrived home,her step mother and Bawang Merah were angry.They had been waiting for her all day long.Bawang Putih then told about the clothes,the old woman,and the pumpkin.Her mother was really angry so she grabbed the pumpkin and smashed it to the floor. Suddenly they all were surprised. Inside the pumpkin they found jewelries."Bawang Merah,hurry up. Go to the river and throw my clothes into the water.After that, find the old woman.Remember,you have to take the big pumpkin,"the step mother asked Bawang Merah to do exactly the same as Bawang Putih's experience.Bawang Merah immediately went to the river.She threw the clothes and pretended to search them.Not long after that, she met the old woman.Again she asked Bawang Merah to do household chores.She refused and asked the old woman to give her a big pumpkin.The old woman then gave her the big one.Bawang Merah was so happy.She ran very fast.When she arrived home,her mother was impatient.She directly smashed the pumpkin to the floor.They were screaming.There were a lot of snakes inside the pumpkin! They were really scared.They were afraid the snakes would bite them. "Mom, I think God just punished us.We had done bad things to Bawang Putih.And God didn't like that. We have to apologize to Bawang Putih,"said Bawang Merah.
Finally both of them realized their mistakes.They apologized and Bawang Putih forgave them.Now the family is not poor anymore.Bawang Putih decided to sell all the jewelries and used the money for their daily lives.

He was very smart and handsome like his father. Everyday, he hunted animals and looked for fruits to eat. One day, when he was hunting, Sangkuriang accidentally killed Tumang. His arrow missed the deer he was targeting and hit Tumang instead. He went home and tells her mother about the dog. “What?” Dayang Sumbi was appalled. Driven by sadness and anger, she grabbed a weaving tool and hit Sangkuriang’s head with it. Dayang Sumbi was so sad; she didn’t pay any attention to Sangkuriang and started to cry.
Sangkuriang feel sad and also confused. How can his mother love a dog more than him? Sangkuriang then decided to go away from their home and went on a journey. In the morning, Dayang Sumbi finally stopped crying. She started to feel better, so she went to find Sangkuriang. But her son was no where to be found. She looked everywhere but still couldn’t find him. Finally, she went home with nothing. She was exhausted. She fell asleep, and in her dream, she meets her husband. “Dayang Sumbi, don’t be sad. Go look for my body in the woods and get the heart. Soak it with water, and use the water to bathe, and you will look young forever,” said the prince in her dream. After bathing with the water used to soak the dog’s heart, Dayang Sumbi looked more beautiful and even younger.
And time passed by. Sangkuriang on his journey stopped at a village and met and fell in love with a beautiful girl.He didn't realize that the village was his homeland and the beautiful girl was his own mother, Dayang Sumbi. Their love grew naturally and he asked the girl to marry him. One day, Sangkuriang was going on a hunt. He asked Dayang Sumbi to fix the turban on his head. Dayang Sumbi was startled when she saw a scar on his head at the same place where she, years ago, hit Sangkuriang on the head.
After the young man left, Dayang Sumbi prayed for guidance. After praying, she became convinced that the young man was indeed her missing son. She realized that she had to do something to prevent Sangkuriang from marrying her. But she did not wish to disappoint him by cancelling the wedding. A few moments before dawn, Sangkuriang and his genie servants almost finished the boat.
Sangkuriang’s genie servants immediately dropped their work and ran for cover from the sun, which they feared. Sangkuriang grew furious. With all his anger, he kicked the unfinished boat. The boat flew and landed on a valley. The boat then became a mountain, called Mount Tangkuban Perahu (Tangkuban means upturned or upside down, and Perahu means boat). With his power, he destroyed the dam. The water drained from the lake becoming a wide plain and nowadays became a city called Bandung (from the word Bendung, which means Dam).

Tangkuban Parahu
Long time ago in West Java, there lived a woman named Dayang Sumbi. She was thirsting for a husband. Along her life she kept praying and praying. At last, God heard her pray. A male dog picked her up and Dayang Sumbi got married to the dog and called the dog ‘Tumang’. After years, Dayang Sumbi gave a birth to baby and named him Sangkuriang. Unfortunately, Dayang Sumbi never told Sangkuriang who his father was.
One day, Sangkuriang was hunting with Tumang in the forest and he found nothing except a little animal. He blamed Tumang for the failure and then he killed Tumang. When Dayang Sumbi knew that she hit Sangkuriang’s head with a big spoon and expelled him.
Many years later, Sangkuriang wandered and found an old house in the forest. Sangkuriang came closer to the house and there was an old beautiful woman. The woman, Dayang Sumbi, recognized the wanderer as Sangkuriang.
Unintentionally, Sangkuriang forced Dayang Sumbi to marry him. Dayang Sumbi agreed to marry him but Sangkuriang had to build a vast boat, just in one night.
At night, Sangkuriang called his friends, ghosts and fairies to help him. Feared with the boat to complete, Dayang Sumbi asked other women in her village to help her. Then the women punched the grains with grain puncher to make noise which disturbed the ghosts and fairies.
The morning came before Sangkuriang completed the boat. Unfortunately the fairies and the ghosts also left Sangkuriang alone. Finaly Sangkuriang got very angry and kicked away the boat to the downside, which finally turned into a mountain, called Tangkuban Parahu.

There was a fisherman who lived in Batak Land. His name was Batara Guru Sahala. When he was angling, he caught a fish. He was surprised to find that fish because the fish could talk and it begged to set it free. He did accordingly.
After getting free, the fish changed into a beautiful woman and Sahala fell in love with her. Sahala asked her to marry him and the woman received him. However, she asked his promised not to tell anyone the secret that she was once a fish. They were very happily married, and got two daughters.
It was a pity on Sahala. One day when he got very angry with his daughters, he forgot his promise and he broke it. He told his daughters that they were the daughters of a fish.
His wife could not forgive him. Suddenly, the earth began to shake and volcanoes started to erupt. The earth cracked and formed a big hole. People said that the hole became Lake Toba.

A rabbit is a small furry mammal with a short tail and pointed ears.Rabbits live in burrow is in the ground.Each burrow is the home of single family.The first fossils which can be attributed to this family came from North America but now they are foundin every part of the world.Compared to its small body rabbit has large-sized ears.
a rabbit is a weak and timid animal and is always surround by many enemies.There fore nature has gifted it with large ears to help it to hear even the fun of drof sound.The large area of ear catches almost every sound wave produced in the air and transfers them into the inner ear.This make the rabbit detect its enemies in time and run to safety zones.
